Overview

Join APL's legal operations as a Paralegal (Contractor) supporting their corporate and commercial law functions. In this role, you'll focus on drafting, document coordination, and administrative legal support — without providing legal advice. You'll collaborate closely with the APL legal team and contribute to ensuring consistency and accuracy in all documentation processes.


Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: Php

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: Approximately 20 hours per week (flexible)

Schedule: Flexible during the client's business hours

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an "Independent Contractor," the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities
  • Draft contracts, cost agreements, estimates, and other legal or transactional documents
  • Provide administrative and documentation support to the APL team
  • Assist in document organization and coordination, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Maintain compliance with internal documentation standards
  • Collaborate effectively with licensed Australian lawyers handling final legal review

Note: The role is strictly non-advisory, focused solely on drafting, document management, and coordination.


Requirements
  • 5–10+ years of experience in corporate and commercial law
  • Strong background in contract drafting and transactional legal work
  • Preferably with experience in both private practice (law firm) and in-house (corporate) roles
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, or Malay) are an advantage
  • Detail-oriented, responsive, and capable of working independently under minimal supervision
