Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling the invoicing process, and ensuring timely GST filings. This role requires a strong understanding of financial accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Bookkeeping:

  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.

  3. Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, sales, and receipts.

  4. Reconcile bank statements and ensure consistency in financial documentation.

  5. Invoicing:

  6. Generate and process invoices accurately and promptly.

  7. Verify and record all financial transactions related to invoicing.

  8. Communicate with clients to address any invoicing inquiries and ensure timely payments.

  9. Accounts Payable:

  10. Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment according to terms

  11. Verify, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system.

  12. Maintain records of accounts payable transactions for monitoring

  13. GST Filing:

  14. Work with our accounting vendors to prepare and submit timely GST returns.

  15. Stay informed about changes in GST regulations and ensure compliance.

  16. Resolve any GST-related issues and discrepancies.

  17. Financial Accounting:

  18. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  19. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

  20. Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting activities.

  21. Documentation and Compliance with Singapore regulations:

  22. Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.

  23. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
  24. Assist in internal and external audits as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with GST regulations and filing processes.
  • Familiarity with Singapore regulations will be viewed as a bonus

Additional Skills:

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in regulations and industry standards.

Work Arrangement:

This is a full-time position.

Official working hours: 9 am pm (SGT GMT+8), Monday - Friday
