Job Title: US Tax Associate

About the Client: A New York-based CPA firm dedicated to supporting start-ups, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. They go beyond traditional accounting by offering personalized guidance in tax planning, bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, and business consulting, acting as a true partner in their clients' growth and success.

Overview: We are seeking a Tax Associate to join our team. In this role, you will assist with tax preparation and provide support for various tax-related tasks. This position is ideal for someone with foundational tax knowledge who is eager to grow in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing tax returns for businesses and individuals.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Provide basic tax advice and support to clients under supervision.
  • Conduct tax research to stay informed on changing tax laws.
  • Support in tax planning to minimize liabilities.
  • Maintain organized tax documentation and records.
  • Assist in audits and respond to tax-related inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in tax preparation.
  • Basic understanding of US tax laws.
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with tax software (Quickbooks knowledge is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
