Are you a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with experience in both design and estimating for electrical switchboards?In this work-from-home permanent contract role for a fast-growing Australian company, you will be cross-skilled in both generating accurate and detailed proposals for electrical switchboard projects, and also assisting with design and drafting of these projects.As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in assisting us to continue to win and execute an exciting range of switchboard design & construct projects.Qualifications:Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) or similar degree; ORTrade qualification (electrician) and experience in industrial control systems and/or switchboardsRequired Attributes:Minimum of three years' experience working with industrial control systems and switchboards, preferably with estimating and design experienceProficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD ElectricalExperience with Australian electrical standards is highly valuedExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong command of the English languageAbility to work effectively with other engineers, project managers and managementStrong attention to detailHighly productive and disciplined approach to workAccess to high-quality IT equipment and fast internet (>10 Mbps)Responsibilities:Review and analysis of customer specifications and project scope/requirementsExecute concept layout design of switchboardsUse internal software to generate accurate pricingPrepare detailed and comprehensive written proposals for submission to customerRequote/adjust previous proposals as requiredElectrical design & drafting using AutoCAD ElectricalPreparation of single line diagrams, electrical schematics, PLC I/O diagrams, connection diagrams and switchboard layout diagrams according to design brief provided by Project EngineerPreparation of production drawings for factory useDrawing updates and as-built drawingsAssist with AutoCAD drafting and electrical design tasksCompile detailed bills of materials for procurementJoin our team and have a significant impact on our electrical projects.
