We're looking for a Junior QA Automation Engineer who can help us test, validate, and improve the quality of our web and API applications. You'll work closely with our Senior Tech Lead and Full-Stack Developers to ensure every release is stable, secure, and high-performing.

This role will focus primarily on manual and semi-automated testing, with opportunities to grow into full automation ownership over time.

Job Responsibilities

Manual & Functional Testing

  • Execute test plans, cases, and regression suites for web and API applications
  • Perform manual testing across browsers, devices, and environments
  • Validate data accuracy through SQL queries and API responses
  • Identify, document, and track bugs or inconsistencies using clear reproduction steps

Automation Support

  • Run and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright
  • Execute API testing through Postman/Newman and maintain collections
  • Assist in writing basic test scripts using JavaScript/PHP within existing frameworks
  • Support continuous testing within GitHub Actions pipelines
  • Learn and apply BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behat, or Codeception) for scenario-based tests

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with developers and the Senior Tech Lead to ensure bugs are fixed before release
  • Provide clear feedback on feature readiness, regression impact, and performance issues
  • Contribute to improving testing documentation, coverage, and release notes

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in QA testing (manual or automated)
  • Familiarity with Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright for UI testing
  • Basic experience with Postman/Newman for API validation
  • Understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and regression testing
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, or Python for simple test automation scripts
  • Comfortable with SQL for test data validation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions preferred)
  • Good attention to detail, documentation habits, and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: ₱50,000/month starting gross pay base
  • Performance-based bonuses based on timeline performance
  • Benefits: Government-mandated (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), 13th-month pay, HMO upon regularization
  • Continuous technical training and mentorship under the Senior Tech Lead

Work Setup

  • Contract: Full-time employment (6-month probationary period).
  • Location: Remote (Philippines)
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM PHT (1-hour break).
  • Reporting: Directly to the Senior Tech Lead
  • Equipment: Reliable high-speed internet and laptop in a quiet workspace.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php45, Php50,000.00 per month
