Job Summary:

The Building Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, maintenance, and safety of hospital facilities. This includes the management of building infrastructure, coordination of construction and renovation projects, and ensuring compliance with engineering and safety standards. The role ensures the physical environment of DDH supports operational efficiency, safety, and comfort for patients, employees, and visitors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of hospital buildings and facilities, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Supervise in-house maintenance teams and contractors for repairs, preventive maintenance, and improvement works.

  • Lead and coordinate construction and renovation projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery, cost-efficiency, and adherence to design and safety standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and generate reports with actionable recommendations.

  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and procurement of construction and maintenance supplies.

  • Coordinate with department heads and hospital units to ensure infrastructure and facility needs are met.

  • Monitor building budgets and expenditures, and support financial planning for capital improvement projects.

  • Implement energy conservation strategies and sustainability practices across the hospital facilities.

  • Lead emergency preparedness plans related to infrastructure and facility concerns.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, accreditation standards, and government regulations.

Job Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

  • Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC Registered)

  • With 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in building and facilities management, project supervision, and construction administration

  • Demonstrated core competencies in project management, quantity surveying, and construction planning

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and coordination skills

  • Knowledge of hospital or healthcare facility standards is an advantage
