About the Role

Our client is seeking a
Benefits Senior Associate
to manage the day-to-day administration of US benefits programs. This role will be the primary liaison for employees and benefit vendors, ensuring accuracy in benefits enrollments, reports, audits, and invoices. You will provide guidance to employees, resolve benefits issues, and support all aspects of benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer US benefit offerings including medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, COBRA, FSA, HSA, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and 401(k).
  • Manage Leave of Absence programs (FMLA, ADA, state leaves, and other types).
  • Provide education and guidance to employees on benefits eligibility, coverage, and plan details.
  • Coordinate with benefit vendors to resolve issues related to eligibility, enrollment, payroll, and data transfer.
  • Conduct new hire benefits orientations.
  • Audit enrollments, payroll deduction reports, and process adjustments/refunds as needed.
  • Reconcile provider invoices and prepare documentation for payment.
  • Support annual benefits audits and reporting (ACA, Non-Discrimination Testing, etc.).
  • Assist employees during annual open enrollment.
  • Create employee benefits communications (brochures, newsletters, intranet content) with the Benefits Broker.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for benefits processes.
  • Escalate urgent issues to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards.
  • Ensure all tasks meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of US benefits experience (assistant, administrator, coordinator, or specialist level).
  • Strong confidentiality, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Knowledge of US benefit regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ADP.
  • Benefits and leave administration experience.
