Senior Business Analyst

• Contractual (min. of 6 months, renewable)

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and validating the business needs of stakeholders, including customers and end-users. The incumbent will perform stakeholder interviews and gather user requirements to determine the necessary technology solutions. This role requires excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to aid the business in making informed technology decisions. She/he will work closely with the Team/Platform Lead to explore technologies that can enhance business processes and optimize solution architecture. S/he will play a vital role in ensuring that IT comprehends the business's requirements. The incumbent will report to designated senior International Staff and/or senior National Staff.

Scope of Work/Responsibilities

1. Strategy, Planning, and Client Management

2. Organize meetings and collaborate with product managers to determine product scope, vision, and roadmap.

3. Write user stories, epics, releases as well as their characteristics.
4. Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
5. Communicate, confirm, present requirements/application change requests to product team for work estimation/sizing.
6. Work with stakeholders and product team to prioritize collected requirements under the product backlog.

7. Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.

8. Product Design and Development

9. Define product features according to business needs. Take charge of user requirement analysis for product design by co-working with the technical team.

10. Manage and prioritize product backlog items. Optimize pipeline release plan based on the delivery to ensure maximum client requirements are met.

11. Assist the product development team in meeting the objectives of each sprint/release cycle.

12. Production Support:

13. Participate in post-go-live maintenance service plan, in-house or managed service, for new products in coordination with the technical team.

14. Coordinate with the ITD technical support areas to ensure correct and efficient operations of assigned application systems. Respond to and resolve major and critical incidents swiftly.

15. Ensure that clients and stakeholders are informed of the status of the product. Regularly submit reports on progress status, including problems encountered, root cause analysis, and resource requirements of assigned product/application systems.

16. Operational Management

17. Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards. Perform effort estimation using INVEST (Independent, Negotiable Valuable, Estimable, Sized appropriately, and Testable).

18. Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
19. Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
20. Develop and conduct peer reviews of business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
21. Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communicate these back to the business stakeholders.
22. Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
23. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements – verbally or through written documentation – to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
24. Ensure completion of proper documentations necessary to deploy applications/products

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Management, Accounting, or any related course
• At least 8 years of solid experience in business analysis
• 5 years of experience in designing and documenting business processes
• 5 years of experience in quality assurance and testing IT applications
• Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
• Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
• Proven experience in business analysis on ServiceNow products
• Experience in using ServiceNow as an application and has high level but relevant knowledge on how ServiceNow is utilized by different business and technical domains
• Experience in being involved in governance boards and committees and running workshops with similar audience

Technical Knowledge

• Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
• Demonstrated product or platform governance knowledge and best practices
• Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, DevOps. CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) and testing/quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge on Microsoft Technology Stack products such as SharePoint, PowerApps, Power Automate, Copilot, and other emerging technologies like ServiceNow and GenAI
• Strong knowledge on ServiceNow Platform and employee center products

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Php120, Php180,000.00 per month
