Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting both internal and external audits. This role involves coordination with various departments to ensure timely and accurate financial documentation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Recording and Reporting

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and reports for accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Record sales and purchases in the accounting system.
  • Prepare check vouchers and record cash receipts.
  • Ensure timely and proper recording of journal and adjusting entries.
  • Coordinate with site personnel to secure timely submission of financial data.
  • Generate supporting schedules and reconcile account balances.
  • Reconcile cash balances per books against actual cash position.
  • Generate draft financial reports for BIR and management review.

2. Tax Compliance

  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Prepare tax computations using established templates.
  • Ensure timely filing and payment of BIR taxes via EFPS.
  • Ensure timely payment of quarterly business tax.
  • Prepare and submit requirements for business tax renewal.

3. Internal Document Review

  • Conduct monthly checks of vouchers and supporting attachments.
  • Ensure voucher documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Verify that all payments have proper receipts.
  • Monitor unliquidated advances and follow up for liquidation.

4. Audit Support

  • Prepare draft financial statements for annual audits.
  • Compile and submit schedules and supporting documents as requested by external auditors.
  • Work closely with auditors during fieldwork to ensure a smooth audit process.

5. BIR Audit Preparation

  • Prepare and compile reports and documents required for BIR audit compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license is an advantage but not required.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
