The Accounts Officer plays a key role in supporting Borg's financial operations. You will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, maintain up-to-date records, and assist with reporting, reconciliations, and stakeholder support across the business.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, this role suits a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable

  • Process and code invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Follow up approvals to ensure timely payment.
  • Handle supplier and internal account enquiries.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and assist with credit card reconciliations.

Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and issue monthly invoices.
  • Process receipts and reconcile accounts.
  • Assist with debtor reporting and bank reconciliations.

Reporting & Support

  • Assist with month-end processes and reconciliations.
  • Support the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • 3+ years' experience in accounts payable/receivable or a similar role.
  • Strong data entry, reconciliation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; MYOB, Xero, or Business Central experience advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder focus.
  • High accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
