About the role

As a General Accountant at AE Proteina Industries Inc.', you will play a vital role in maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This full-time position is based in Makati City Metro Manila and will involve a range of accounting responsibilities to support the overall financial health and performance of the organization.

What you'll be doing

  1. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options necessary to implement accounting principles or standards required by Accounting Advisory bodies and/or Government agencies
  2. Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
  3. Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  4. Maintains financial security by following internal controls set forth by the management
  5. Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations
  6. Review accuracy and authenticity of documents on asset, liability, and capital account by compiling, tallying and analyzing the financial transactions entered into the Accounting System.
  7. Reconciles and recommends action for related financial discrepancies
  8. Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
  9. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  10. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents and providing summary reports
  11. Guides by answering questions, directing and coordinating activities of other accounting and clerical staff
  12. Secures financial information by completing data base backups
  13. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
  14. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  15. Accomplishes the above primary role through collaboration with the accounting staff

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  2. 3-5 years of experience as a General Accountant or a similar role in the Accounting & Finance industry
  3. Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  4. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate financial records
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  7. Knowledge of applicable accounting standards and regulations
  8. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is preferred
