Job Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Architecture:

  2. Define and design storage and backup infrastructure (SAN, NAS, cloud storage, tape libraries).

  3. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions concerning to Storage & Backup environment.

  4. Implementation and Configuration:

  5. Define and design storage and backup infrastructure (SAN, NAS, cloud storage, tape libraries).

  6. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions concerning to Storage & Backup environment.

  7. Escalation point of contact for any high-severity incidents (P1 or P2) that requires Storage & Backup SME support.

  8. Monitoring and Maintenance:

  9. Monitor storage capacity, performance, and backup success rates.

  10. Conduct regular health checks and preventive maintainance.

  11. Backup and Recovery:

  12. Develop and maintain backup policies and schedules.

  13. Test and validate restore procedures (disaster recovery, file-level recovery).

  14. Incident and Problem Management:

  15. Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup-related incident as an SME

  16. Work with vendors and support teams as needed
  17. Manage to cover ticket reduction through Problem Management space via top polluter

  18. Responsible for RCA report in relation to a high-severity incident (P1 or P2) that has been resolved by the Storage & Backup support.

  19. Documentation and Reporting:

  20. Maintain up-to-date documentation (configuration, procedures such as SOP, policies)

  21. Provide capacity planning and utilization reports.

  22. Manage to build a trust relationship with L4 onshore counterparts and with our client by managing weekly technical catchup with them as an SME

  23. Security and Compliance:

  24. Ensure data protection and encryption are enforced

  25. Adhere to regulatory compliance requirements

  26. Collaboration and Support:

  27. Act as the escalation point for complex storage and backup issues/concerns.

  28. Work closely with other technical teams such as Infrastructure, application, security teams & etc

Job Qualifications:

  • System Administration in Windows Server Operating Systems (W2K3, W2K8R2, W2K12)
  • Knowledge in ITIL/ITSM framework
  • Expert in Storage & Backup Management
  • 5-7years + of deep technical knowledge to the following Storage & Backup technologies such as:

CommVault Backup

Veeam Backup

Druva Backup

NetBackup

NetApp (storage)

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 18 months
