Job Responsibilities:

  1. Wintel Administration

  2. Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).

  3. Perform routine patching, updates, and system health checks.
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot server performance and availability.

  5. Support virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).

  6. Cloud Infrastructure Support

  7. Assist in managing cloud resources (Azure, AWS).

  8. Monitor cloud workloads and assist with provisioning and scaling.
  9. Support cloud backup and disaster recovery configurations.

  10. Maintain documentation for cloud configurations and procedures.

  11. Backup Operations

  12. Administer backup tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).

  13. Monitor backup jobs and resolve failures or alerts.
  14. Perform regular restore tests and ensure data recoverability.

  15. Maintain backup schedules and retention policies.

  16. Maintenance & Monitoring

  17. Use monitoring tools to track system health and performance.

  18. Respond to incidents and service requests related to servers and backups.

  19. Maintain asset inventory and configuration documentation.

  20. Security & Compliance

  21. Apply security patches and follow hardening guidelines.

  22. Support audit and compliance activities (e.g., access reviews, backup logs).
  23. Ensure systems meet internal and regulatory standards.

Job Qualifications:

  1. 10 years' experience in infrastructure, 5+ years of experience in workstation build and automation

  2. Operating Systems & Platforms:

  3. Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy

  4. VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V

  5. Patching and Firmware upgrades

  6. Cloud Platforms

  7. Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Azure AD, Azure Backup)

  8. AWS (exposure to EC2, S3, IAM)
  9. GCP (optional)

  10. Hybrid cloud connectivity and monitoring

  11. Backup & Recovery Tools

  12. Veeam Backup & Replication

  13. Commvault or Veritas NetBackup (as applicable)

  14. Backup scheduling, retention policies, and restore testing

  15. Storage Systems

  16. SAN/NAS solutions (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE)

  17. Storage protocols: iSCSI, NFS, SMB

  18. Basic performance tuning and capacity monitoring

  19. Monitoring & Management

  20. SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios, or equivalent

  21. ITSM tools (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy)

  22. Patch management and system health reporting

  23. Security & Compliance

  24. Antivirus and endpoint protection tools

  25. Vulnerability scanning (Qualys, Tenable)

  26. Basic exposure to SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel)

  27. Scripting & Automation

  28. PowerShell (basic to intermediate)

  29. Exposure to automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) is a plus
