Job Title: Accounting Staff

Department: Accounting

Reports to: Junior Comptroller

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Staff to join our Accounting Department. The ideal candidate will handle cash advances, billings, and liquidations; maintain accurate schedules and records; and assist in inventory-related activities. This role requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process cash advances and billings accurately and on time.
  2. Prepare and check liquidations of advances with corresponding journal entries.
  3. Prepare schedules of advances, payables, and accounts receivable related to advances.
  4. Maintain and regularly update files of rates and financial records.
  5. Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of all vouchers, records, and reports, with complete attachments.
  6. Strictly observe Saturday housekeeping for records maintenance.
  7. Collate, check, and analyze Daily Inventory Reports submitted by out-ports.
  8. Prepare Inventory Schedules and assist in physical inventory counts.

  9. Handle the issuance and control of forms such as:

  10. Liquidation Forms

  11. Cash Advance Forms
  12. Other forms related to payables and inventory
  13. Provide back-up assistance to other departments as needed.
  14. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Junior Comptroller.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Preferably with experience in accounting operations, payables, or inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Highly organized, thorough, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Results-driven and can meet deadlines.
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Team player with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated and confident in carrying out responsibilities independently.
