Key Responsibilities

  • Reviews and communicates overall test progress and results.
  • Manages and tracks software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Creates, drafts, and executes comprehensive test plans.
  • Identifies and applies quality improvement processes with an emphasis on defect prevention.
  • Prepares documentation for new applications to support QA team training and knowledge sharing.
  • Applies a solid understanding of testing concepts aligned with requirements and user stories.
  • Interprets technical specifications, requirements, and other related documents effectively.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to junior QA testers.
  • Experienced in using defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to design detailed, structured, and comprehensive test cases.
  • Accurately documents test outcomes, including bugs, change requests, and supporting evidence.
  • Develops, maintains, and executes test scripts, and utilizes tracking and reporting tools effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word.
  • Delivers precise and consistent execution of test cases.
  • Effectively communicates testing issues and concerns.

  • Analyzes user stories to create test scenarios based on acceptance criteria and accurately records execution results.

  • Proven experience in QA testing, preferably in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret user stories, business requirements, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Demonstrated ability to document and execute test cases and report results clearly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for software quality.

Qualifications

  • Solid background in QA testing, ideally within Agile or Scrum-based teams.
  • Skilled in analyzing and understanding user stories, business requirements, and technical specs.
  • Hands-on experience with test management and bug tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
  • Proficient in documenting, executing test cases, and clearly reporting outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to ensuring software quality.
