Job Title: Bookkeeper & Small-Time Accountant

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper & Small-Time Accountant to manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support basic accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in bookkeeping and accounting who can work independently and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions (AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations)
  • Maintain and balance general ledger and subsidiary accounts
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow statements
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
  • Liaise with external accountants or auditors as needed
  • Maintain organized financial files and documentation
  • And willing to be assigned for fieldwork.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Excel)
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience working with small businesses or startups
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and filing basics
