Job Summary
The Billing Analyst is a high-impact role that will work cross-functionally throughout the organization. The role is designed for someone who is
detail-oriented
and eager to seek out new ways to make an impact. This person will report to the Director of Finance and Accounting and is responsible for working with the team to manage all aspects of Portside's revenue operations and vendor management.

*The working hours for this role will be 9am to 5pm Mountain Time.
Key Responsibilities*

• Review and analyze billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies or issues promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as the finance, sales, and customer service teams, to resolve customer billing inquiries and concerns.
• Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to clients/customers.
• Perform regular audits of billing processes to identify potential areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to billing procedures, guidelines, and policies.
• Analyze financial data to track billing trends, identify revenue leakage, and make recommendations for improvement.
• Assist in the development and implementation of billing system enhancements or upgrades.
• Generate reports and provide analysis on billing metrics, key performance indicators, and financial trends.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to billing processes.
• Be a key member of the billing automation system implementation team
• Customer contract reviews to ensure billing and revenue recognition in compliance with ASC606

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working in B2B SaaS.
• A thorough understanding of recurring revenue models.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in using billing software and financial systems.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with clients/customers.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software applications.
