About the role

We are seeking an experienced Banquet Sales Manager to join our dynamic team at the City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati City, Metro Manila. As the Banquet Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the hotel's banquet and events sales operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and driving revenue growth. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work in a vibrant and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities for the hotel's banquet and events facilities
  2. Manage the creation and execution of effective sales strategies to maximise banquet and events revenue
  3. Prepare and present proposals, contracts and pricing to prospective clients
  4. Liaise with the hotel's operations team to ensure seamless delivery of banquet and events services
  5. Manage a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, mentoring and performance management
  6. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  7. Contribute to the hotel's overall sales and marketing efforts to promote the banquet and events facilities

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar banquet sales or events management role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  2. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  4. Proficient in sales presentation and negotiation techniques
  5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  6. Familiarity with hospitality industry trends, best practices and regulatory requirements
  7. Proficient in the use of relevant sales and event management software
