Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy and Framework Development

  • Serve as a key advisor, identifying and directing enterprise-wide strategy projects and overseeing execution of related deliverables in the financial technology and insurance markets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic roadmaps, conduct key interviews, lead workshops, and perform primary and secondary market research.
  • Act as the primary interface with client executives, up to C-Level, for pricing-related initiatives.

2. Pricing Implementation and Coordination

  • Manage pricing strategy, processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Ensure effective adoption of pricing guidelines across the organization.
  • Coordinate with subsidiaries and internal departments to plan and implement new pricing on core products and new features.

3. Team Leadership & Oversight

The AVP will lead a team responsible for:

  • Gathering and analyzing market trends and competitor activity.
  • Identifying and analyzing factors influencing customer demand, including economic conditions, market trends, pricing, and product availability.
  • Developing optimal packaging and value mixes for products and services.
  • Preparing business cases for new monetization strategies.
  • Creating market forecast reports impacting pricing and sales.
  • Collaborating with functional teams to achieve product-related metrics, including profitability and resilience.
  • Estimating IFRS 17 items and projecting profitability for various product mixes and scenarios.
  • Performing other pricing-related activities as directed by the Chief Actuary, CFO, and Group Office.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6–7 years of actuarial experience, preferably in
    pricing and life insurance
    .
    Life insurance background is non-negotiable.
  • Proficient in Excel, including macro programming; experience with Prophet is highly desirable.
  • Associate (or Senior Associate) of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (ASP) or equivalent; experience with multinational life insurance companies preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop pricing models for new products and set assumptions based on experience reviews, market comparisons, and industry benchmarks.
  • Knowledge of reviewing forms, contracts, sales illustrations, and product submission to the Insurance Commission (IC).
  • Experience conducting Experience Studies (e.g., Expense Analysis, Mortality, Persistency, Withdrawal Experience Study).
  • Strong supervisory skills: ability to check pricing models, review Product Gate submissions, and ensure team meets deadlines.
