1. AVP – Head of Actuarial Pricing

Location:
Hybrid – BGC, Manila

Work Arrangement:
Hybrid, with some onsite requirements

Role Overview:

The AVP – Head of Pricing will lead the actuarial pricing function, ensuring that product pricing is competitive, compliant, and aligned with a customer-centric, digitally enabled strategy. You will develop pricing models, set assumptions, and work closely with cross-functional teams to launch innovative life insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies, frameworks, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, conduct workshops, market research, and interact with client executives up to C-Level.
  • Oversee pricing processes, systems, reporting, and adoption of guidelines across the organization.
  • Manage a team analyzing market trends, customer demand, and profitability to optimize product pricing.
  • Support IFRS 17 estimations and projections for various product mixes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 6–7 years of actuarial experience, specifically in life insurance pricing.
  • Associate or Senior Associate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (ASP) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Excel (including macros); Prophet experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to develop pricing models, set assumptions, and review regulatory submissions.
  • Strong supervisory skills and experience conducting experience studies (expense, mortality, persistency, withdrawal).

2. Senior Actuarial Manager – Pricing

Location:
Hybrid – BGC, Manila

Work Arrangement:
Hybrid (~10 days onsite per month)

Role Overview:

The Senior Actuarial Manager (Pricing) leads pricing activities, product prototyping, and distribution-related initiatives. You will ensure assigned products are analyzed, approved, and ready for launch while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and justify pricing assumptions using experience reviews, market comparisons, and industry benchmarks.
  • Build and maintain pricing models in Excel/Prophet.
  • Provide actuarial support for distribution requests, compensation reviews, and partnership quotations.
  • Prepare actuarial sections of product approval reports, including profit testing and sensitivity analyses.
  • Participate in UAT for product initiatives and lead special projects as assigned.
  • Mentor and review work of junior actuarial team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Associate/Fellow of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (AASP/FSA) or Society of Actuaries (ASA/FSA) preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of actuarial experience, preferably in pricing and product strategy.
  • Life insurance experience required; health insurance experience (e.g., Manulife) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of IFRS17 and local regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in Prophet and Excel-based profit modeling.
