Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The role performs reinsurance administration function covering premium calculations, reporting claims recoveries, modified coinsurance cashflow monitoring, and related accruals used in financial reporting.

  • Coordinates with reinsurers on reporting requirements, reconciliations, and settlements .

  • Calculates allowable reserve credit to ensure accurate recognition of reinsurance under PFRS4
  • Handles regulatory reinsurance submissions, including reporting of new and renewal treaties and other regulatory requirements
  • Perform end-to-end group valuation process. Reconciles group exposure data to ensure complete and accurate inputs to the valuation process. Calculate group reserves and IBNR.
  • Prepare annual P&L for each group contract at policy renewal, supporting pricing decisions and renewal negotiations.
  • Calculates the company's RBC2 requirement including analysis of change.

Qualification and Technical Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree holder in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or equivalent;
  • Preferably passed 1-2 actuarial exams or in active pursuit of actuarial examinations
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills., strong attention to detail and ability to meet recurring reporting deadlines.
  • Proficient in excel, SQL, Python or actuarial software is an advantage
