Sales Engineer

This opportunity is with one of the world's largest independent electronic component distributors.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

·       Be the technical engineer to support sales teams across the Rebound global business

·       Working for both the key account customers and developing customers.

·       Service existing accounts, obtain orders for Indirect Product catalogue

·       Respond to inquiries from customers for Indirect Product

·       Chase and drive sales revenue for Indirect Product across the Rebound global business

·       Identify and track repeat business opportunities for Indirect Product

·       Be inquisitive for new business opportunities for Indirect Product

·       Identify, qualify and cultivate new sales opportunities for Indirect Product

·       Identify appropriate Indirect Product to propose customer specification/requirement

·       Promote different Indirect Product to our sales teams

·       Provide substantial technical information to support sales of Indirect Product

·       Advocate and able to relate to different specific product to sales team by driving adoption of solutions, with brands' partners' products, that meet customer needs.

·       Collaborating with global sales network to penetrate existing and new customers through offerings of commodities.

·       Tracks design opportunities from discovery, recommendation, sampled and production. Maximising all resources to gain greatest potential for success.

·       Proactive discover and deliver new Indirect Product brands' product demand and design in, wins and technical support to solve customer design challenges.

·       Co-work with distribution management, marketing, and sales to develop and implement key demand creation for new and current customers from early stage of product development to repeat schedule orders

·       Response to cross referencing opportunities within 24hrs

  • Response quickly and accurately to customer technical inquiries

·       Handles internal customer technical inquiries

·       Interact and develop strong relationships with multi-level brands, customers, sales, etc.

·       Creates and conduct product presentations, training, and other sales tools to enhance technical value and become a " go-to person" to both sales and customers.

·       Strong understanding of customer needs to product(s), technology, direction, competition, design process and cycle.

·       Tracks design opportunities from discovery, recommendation, sampled and production. Maximising all resources to gain greatest potential for success.

·       Develop keen knowledge to discover, compare component selections by participating in brand/customer design review periodically.

·       Conduct product training to Sales force and to customers.

·       Attend internal and external technical training to complete and maintain certification

·       Follow-up with Indirect Product suppliers and customers until closure.

·       Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor or Master in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or similar
  • Strong knowledge of Embedded and Power systems.
  • Experience in working directly with customers
  • Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken
  • Experience in selecting components to be used for an Electronics/Electrical product.
  • Experience with various protocols and Design Engineering advantageous.
