We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Finance Process Lead
to oversee and optimize our core accounting functions: Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL). This is a critical leadership role that goes beyond transactional processing, focusing on continuous improvement, team mentorship, and ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of end-to-end accounting processes and a passion for driving excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Process Management & Oversight:

  • Own the end-to-end processes for the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger functions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, payment runs, customer collections, and month-end close activities.
  • Reconcile complex general ledger accounts and oversee the corporate credit card and expense reporting process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations and complex issues within AR, AP, and GL.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Manage workload distribution, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Provide training on company policies, accounting principles, and software systems.

Continuous Improvement & Automation:

  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, reduce cycle times, and improve internal controls.
  • Champion the adoption of automation tools and technologies to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all key processes.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for AR and AP.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with internal and external auditors.

Compliance & Internal Controls:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards (GAAP), and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment within the AR, AP, and GL cycles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with significant hands-on experience in AR, AP, and GL.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Deep, practical understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • High proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Experience in a Shared Services Center (SSC) or Global Business Services (GBS) environment is a significant plus.
  • Experience within the hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) or progress towards one is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading process improvement or automation projects.
  • Experience with accounting software implementation or optimization.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team without direct authority in a cross-functional setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect complex issues and drive to the root cause.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail while managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
