ECCL Singapore Pte. Ltd. – ROHQ has an exciting opportunity for Finance Team Lead - Record to Report to join the Global Shared Services Finance Team
In this role, you will:
Managing the Process and Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of general accounting and reporting, fixed assets, statutory accounting, tax related transactions in accordance with SLAs including but not limited to journal postings, reconciliations, GL maintenance, financial statements and management report preparation and analysis.
- Oversee period end for RTR process to ensure accurate and timely completion of closing and reporting.
- Proactively identify and propose continuous improvement opportunities and plan, manage and implement changes upon approval of the management.
- Implement standardization and best practices within RTR function.
- Maintain and ensure process workflow and documentation are up to date to the current processes.
People and Leadership:
- Provide RTR related advice and be the first level of support and escalation party for any operational issues raised by the team to assist in resolving it.
- Perform people management responsibilities including but not limited to planning and assigning tasks, and team performance appraisal, coaching and development
- Regularly monitor, track and resolve outstanding issues and escalate to Manager if and when required.
Others:
- Assist in planning and managing transition and/or system implementation activities with the Project team.
- Be the focal point for any audit discussions and engage with the BPE for the preparation of requirements.
- Collaborate and coordinate review meetings with relevant stakeholders and internal functional teams on a periodic basis.
- Assist in other functional areas when needed.
What You will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field with professional qualification
- Relevant professional certifications are preferred (e.g. CPA, MBA)
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in General Ledger and/or reporting functions and handling full sets of accounts with at least 2 years in a lead or management role.
- Experience in a BPO or Shared Service setting is an advantage.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software or any financial reporting software, with working knowledge of SAP or S4 Hana being essential.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, manage time effectively, and adapt to new technologies while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to cope with ambiguity and change and maintain high level of professionalism when working under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills within a multi-cultural business environment.
- Strong leadership, communication skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.

Who We Are
The Manila Processing Center started way before 2014. With a few IT and Finance staff supporting the rollout of SMEC Group's ERP, EPICOR, the beginnings of what would eventually become Global Shared Services was formed. Throughout the first 3 years, GSS experienced substantial growth reaching 88 employees supporting what then grew to a wide array of services supporting the SMEC Group including IT, Finance, Human Resources and the introduction of the BMS team. With the acquisition of SMEC by the Surbana Jurong Group in 2017, a greater opportunity presented itself for GSS. It was then poised to grow and provide services to a larger group of companies and future potential acquisitions. As GSS services were introduced to more companies and locations, GSS saw its size double, from 88 to 200, unique and talented individuals by 2019.
With a strong team spirit, committed and talented individuals, GSS continues to position itself at the forefront of supporting Surbana Jurong Group's growth towards its SJ 2.0 aspirations.
