Job Description
The Admitting/Information Staff serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. The role involves handling patient admissions, providing information, managing records, and ensuring smooth coordination between hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Handle patient registration and admission procedures accurately.
- Verify and record patient information, medical documents, and insurance details.
- Provide information and guidance regarding hospital services, departments, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update databases.
- Coordinate with medical and administrative departments for smooth patient flow.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- At least High School Graduate, preferably with a college degree in Health Administration, Nursing, or related field.
- Experience in hospital front desk, patient services, or medical administration is an advantage.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of hospital admission procedures, medical terminology, and patient record management.
- Computer literate (MS Office, hospital information system).
- Professional, courteous, and able to handle stressful situations.
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
