Duties and Responsibilities
1. Patient Admission & Registration
Assist patients and families upon arrival and guide them through the admission process.
Secure and verify required documents (valid ID, doctor's order, PhilHealth forms, insurance documents, etc.).
Encode patient information accurately in the hospital's system.
Ensure that all consent forms and admission papers are completed and signed.
Assign room accommodation based on availability and patient classification.
2. Information Desk Operations
Provide directions, hospital information, and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff.
Answer phone calls professionally and route them to appropriate departments.
Handle inquiries regarding room availability, schedules, and basic hospital services.
3. PhilHealth & Insurance Processing (if applicable)
Check eligibility and assist with PhilHealth requirements (CF1, MDR, etc.).
Coordinate with Billing for insurance verification and approval.
Inform patients about PhilHealth deductions and required documents.
4. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with nurses, doctors, housekeeping, and other departments regarding incoming admissions.
Update concerned units on patient movements (admission, transfer, discharge).
Notify immediate supervisors about any unusual incidents or concerns.
5. Documentation & Data Accuracy
Maintain updated logs, admission records, and reports.
Ensure confidentiality of patient information following data privacy policies.
Prepare daily admission census and submit to authorized personnel.
6. Customer Service
Provide courteous and efficient service at all times.
Handle complaints or concerns and escalate when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
7. Other Related Tasks
Assist during emergency admissions and urgent cases.
Support other clerical tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.
Participate in training sessions, meetings, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications
- At least a Senior High School Graduate (preferably with related college coursework).
- Experience in customer service or hospital setting is an advantage.
- Computer literate: knowledge of hospital systems is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in shifting schedules.
