The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial records. This position leads the monthly and annual closing of books using QuickNet, prepares and maintains detailed Balance Sheet and P&L schedules, and ensures accurate bookkeeping with proper schedule matching. The role is also responsible for filling monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR reports, as well as managing working papers for external audits The Senior Accountant works closely with management to provide timely and rterliab;e financial information that supports decision-making and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead monthly and annual closing of books and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Oversee bookkeeping accuracy and ledger consistency.
  • Analyze variances in cost, margins, and expenses to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and submit Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, and detailed financial schedules.
  • Maintain and update Accounts Receivable Aging, Accounts Payable Aging, Fixed Asset Ledger and Depreciation, Withholding Tax Payables & Compliance Reports, Revenue by SKU / Brand / Channel, COGS Breakdown per Brand and Operating Expense Schedule (with GL mapping)
  • File BIR reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage working papers for external audit and coordinate with auditors for timely completion.
  • Support the Finance Head in implementing process improvements, automation, and best practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA license or equivalent certification is highly preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience

Proven background in general ledger, financial reporting, tax, and auditing

Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle)

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS)

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams

Other Requirements:

Familiarity with local and international tax regulations

Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work under pressure

Ethical and trustworthy with a high level of integrity
