We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team based in Manila, Philippines. You will be responsible for month-end close activities and reconciliation of general ledger accounts for multiple entities, including intercompany transactions, journal entries, and monthly analysis of Income Statement accounts.

As a Senior Accountant, you will play an important role in managing the Company's accounting processes, providing valuable insight that will be used to assess the performance of Veson Nautical. You will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and collaborate frequently with other members of the Finance Team as well as other departments in the organisation.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Support the month-end close process under U.S. GAAP, including preparing and reviewing relevant journal entries, performing balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Support interim and year-end audits
  • Record accruals, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses
  • Reconcile all intercompany transactions
  • Manage accounts payable, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices globally
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in the filing of BIR returns
  • Participate in various accounting systems automation and enhancement projects to promote more timely and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting operations and general ledger accounting
  • CPA or equivalent preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Strong experience with various accounting systems, Tipalti, NetSuite and other accounting-related systems
  • Experience working in a SaaS/Software business is strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606
  • Experience working with US and international entities
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Excel
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with corporate and international management
  • Experience mentoring
  • Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
  • Honesty, strong ethical standards and integrity are a must
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, documentation skills, and research & resolution skills

This is an onsite position in our Manila, Muntinlupa office.
