1.0 Job Summary

The Network Associate is responsible in maintenance and troubleshooting of an organization's computer networks.

2.0 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
  • Document network configurations, updates, and changes.
  • Monitor network performance and respond to alerts or outages.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of connectivity and performance issues.
  • Provide first-level support for network-related user issues.
  • Assist with the implementation of network security measures and policies.
  • Work with senior staff to support network upgrades and projects.
  • Conduct regular backups and update network diagrams.
  • Maintain inventory of networking equipment and tools.

4.0 Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or any related fields
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Basic understanding of subnetting, TCP/IP, network protocols and technologies(LAN, WAN, etc.)
  • Familiarity with operating systems
  • Certifications: CCNA
  • Nice to have but not required:
  • Experienced in using cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • CCNP Certification
