Job Description

The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This includes building scalable data pipelines, developing robust semantic models, and creating impactful reports and dashboards in Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and scalable data pipelines.
  • Build and optimize semantic models (star/snowflake schemas) to support reporting and analytics.
  • Develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring usability, performance, and security.
  • Apply best practices in data modeling and management, including incremental refresh, partitioning, row-level security, data governance, documentation, CI/CD, and data quality monitoring.
  • Integrate SAP datasets (via OData connectors, SAP BW/HANA, or APIs) into Microsoft Fabric environments (OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse/Warehouse).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into reliable and scalable BI solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging Microsoft Fabric and SAP integration features, recommending and implementing enhancements to existing BI solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, Notebooks) and Power BI.
  • Strong experience integrating enterprise data sources, particularly SAP (OData, BW/HANA connectors, APIs).
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and advanced data modeling concepts.
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT workflows, data warehouse and lakehouse architectures, and semantic modeling.
  • Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing in BI environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
