The Position:

The Senior Financial Analyst in Corporate Finance will help with various tasks surrounding the GAAP financial close. The candidate will focus on accuracy, timeliness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The analyst will work with various financial systems, data sets, and reporting tools to prepare financial reporting schedules, reports and journal entries. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel, able to manage large data sets and complex reports using advanced formulas, quickly adapt to new systems and technical reporting tools while demonstrating strong analytical skills. We are seeking a candidate who combines financial knowledge with exceptional technical expertise in report building, data analysis, and process automation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate assistance in the GAAP financial close (compiling data for P&L calculations, assist in the Balance Sheet MD&A roll forward and maintenance etc.)

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to create financial statements and schedules to report the company's financial performance

  • Build and optimize complex financial reports and dashboards using advanced Excel techniques and other reporting tools

  • Leverage advanced Excel skills to generate detailed financial schedules such as Profit and Loss statements, Written Premium reports, and Acquisition Expense schedules

  • Reconcile general ledger to financial reporting database

  • Respond promptly to ad-hoc requests for financial information from various corporate and business partners

  • Uphold internal controls and assist with external audit requests, ensuring financial integrity and compliance

  • Perform other duties as requested
