We are seeking an experienced
Accounting Specialist
to support our finance operations. This role begins with covering essential accounting tasks while a team member is on leave, with the potential to transition into a
long-term role
for the right candidate. The position will evolve to include broader accounting responsibilities and process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Compensation:
$8-10/hour

Start Date:
Within one week of selection, following satisfactory completion of assessments

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows.
  • Maintain and update daily financial spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
  • Clear bank feeds and record transactions in
    QuickBooks Online (QBO)
    .
  • Reconcile deposits and match invoice payments.
  • Enter and track paid invoices.
  • Generate and format commission reports.
  • Support light journal entry preparation.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting requests.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Experience identifying and implementing
    process improvements
    preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.

Tools & Proficiency

  • Google Sheets & Excel:
    Intermediate to advanced (formulas, formatting, reporting).
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Salesforce, Stripe, Wise, and other payment platforms
    .
  • Asana or similar task/project management tools.
