Their responsibilities typically include recruitment, onboarding, managing employee relations, administering benefits, supporting performance reviews, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and maintaining employee records. They act as a liaison between employees and leadership, supporting the company's people-related strategy across the entire employee life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates, as well as creating job descriptions and onboarding new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Addressing employee grievances, resolving conflicts, and acting as a liaison between employees, managers, and executives.
  • Performance Management: Conducting performance reviews and advising on pay scale adjustments based on employee performance.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administering employee benefits programs, bonuses, and holiday schedules.
  • Policy and Compliance: Creating and updating HR policies, ensuring adherence to labor laws and regulations, and providing advice on people-related policies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate employee files, including benefits, attendance, and other important documents.
  • Employee Engagement: Developing and initiating employee engagement plans and activities.
