Facilities Management Officer

Facilities Management (FM) Officers ensure the smooth operation, safety, and efficiency of buildings, infrastructure, and services. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance Management
◦ Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment.
◦ Coordinate repairs with in-house teams or external contractors.
- Health & Safety Compliance
◦ Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, fire codes, and local building laws.
◦ Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Space Optimization
◦ Manage office layouts, seating arrangements, and storage solutions.
◦ Plan relocations or renovations to maximize space efficiency.
- Vendor & Contractor Supervision
◦ Source, negotiate with, and supervise vendors (cleaning, security, catering).
◦ Monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) for quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Budget Management
◦ Prepare and track budgets for maintenance, utilities, and upgrades.
◦ Identify cost-saving opportunities (e.g., energy-efficient lighting).
- Emergency Preparedness
◦ Develop and test emergency response plans (fire drills, evacuation procedures).
◦ Maintain backup power systems and disaster recovery protocols.
- Sustainability Initiatives
◦ Implement eco-friendly practices (waste reduction, energy conservation).
◦ Monitor utility consumption and carbon footprint.
