MAIN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Director of Product is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and executing the product vision and strategy across Sprout's expanding portfolio of B2B SaaS products. This role is central in driving innovation, market fit, and adoption—both internally and externally. The Director of Product will lead the product team through the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and design to development, launch, and continuous improvement, ensuring that all products deliver exceptional value to customers and align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Vision & Strategy

• Define, drive, and continuously refine a clear and compelling product vision and roadmap that aligns with business objectives.
• Develop product planning materials and build consensus with internal stakeholders on initiatives and priorities.
• Guide market segmentation and value proposition strategies across product lines.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers, fostering a high-performance, accountable, and autonomous culture.
• Establish and continuously improve product processes and best practices in an agile development environment.

• Oversee the full product lifecycle from discovery and design to development, launch, and iteration.
• Ensure all product initiatives meet or exceed KPIs and contribute to customer success, retention, and company growth.
• Manage cross-functional collaboration across engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success.

​​​​​​​Research, Analysis & Strategy

• Conduct and synthesize user research, market intelligence, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Stay ahead of market trends, customer needs, and technology shifts to drive product innovation.

​​​​​​​Go-to-Market & Stakeholder Alignment

• Collaborate with Growth, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop GTM strategies that drive adoption and revenue.
• Align with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure product initiatives support business outcomes.
• Serve as a product evangelist, representing the company and promoting products internally and externally through executive briefings, marketing events, and partner engagements.

​​​​​​​Partnerships & Ecosystem Management

• Build and manage strategic partnerships that enhance Sprout's product ecosystem and customer value.
• Lead third-party vendor relationships and ensure effective product integration where necessary.

​​​​​​​Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

• Define and track product KPIs and metrics to inform ongoing improvements and strategic pivots.
• Promote an iterative, feedback-driven product development culture.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS, or related field; MBA or Master's in Product Leadership is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a B2B SaaS environment.
• Proven success in launching and scaling software products; strong track record in product lifecycle management and team leadership.
• Strong domain knowledge in HR, Payroll, or Recruitment software; FinTech experience is a plus.
• Expertise in agile methodologies, design thinking, and customer-centric product development.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker with sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and cross-functional environment.
