Job description:
The HR Associate – Compensation & Benefits plays a key role in supporting and managing the company's compensation and benefits programs. This position is responsible for analyzing and maintaining competitive salary structures, ensuring compliance with government regulations (SSS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, and BIR), managing employee benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans, and providing responsive assistance to employee inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Management
- Oversee and maintain compensation programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and incentive plans.
- Process employee monetary benefits such as referral incentives, funeral assistance, and other allowances.
- Calculate final or separation pay for resigning or retiring employees.
- Input salary adjustments and leave credits for payroll processing.
- Track and audit leave credits, and promptly compute cash conversions and hospital account offsets.
Benefits Administration
- Ensure timely filing and processing of SSS benefits (sickness, EC, maternity/paternity, etc.) to prevent delays.
- Review and approve SSS salary and calamity loans through the SSS employer portal.
- Prepare and submit documentation for SSS, PhilHealth, and PAG-IBIG contributions and loans.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefits programs for enhanced employee satisfaction and cost efficiency.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure accurate monthly reporting of new hires to SSS and PhilHealth (ER2, R1a).
- Prepare and submit reports to PSA and DOLE, including 13th month pay and the Annual Medical Report (AMR).
- Generate reports on statutory benefits and other required documentation.
- Produce monthly analytics and reports to support organizational objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compensation and benefits data.
Program Evaluation
- Monitor the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs and suggest areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
Employee Communication
- Develop communication materials to inform employees about compensation and benefits programs.
- Provide timely support to employees with compensation or benefits concerns, offering practical and cost-effective solutions.
Collaboration and Support
- Collaborate with HR, Audit, Accounting, and leadership teams to align compensation and benefits strategies with organizational goals.
- Support recruitment and retention efforts by ensuring competitive compensation and benefits offerings.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in legislation related to compensation and benefits.
- Recommend and implement program improvements to maintain competitiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, or a related field in Behavioral Science.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in compensation and benefits.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of government-mandated benefits and related regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
