Position Overview

The Licensed Customs Broker is responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant clearance of imported and exported goods in accordance with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) rules and regulations in the Philippines. Holding a valid license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Licensed Customs Broker serves as the official representative in customs transactions, providing expert guidance on tariff classification, valuation, and trade compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the accredited and licensed representative of the company before the Bureau of Customs (BOC).
  • Prepare, review, and lodge import and export entries via the BOC Electronic-to-Mobile (E2M) system.
  • Classify goods correctly under the ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature (AHTN).
  • Compute duties, taxes, tariffs, and other applicable charges; ensure timely payment and release of shipments.
  • Monitor and coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, truckers, and government agencies for smooth cargo movement.
  • Stay updated on BOC regulations, customs administrative orders (CAOs), customs memorandum orders (CMOs), and international trade policies.
  • Provide advisory services to clients and internal teams on customs valuation, duty drawback, exemptions, and free trade agreements (e.g., AFTA, RCEP, JPEPA).
  • Resolve clearance issues, penalties, or disputes with BOC officials.
  • Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Train staff on customs procedures, compliance requirements, and documentary best practices.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Customs Broker with valid PRC accreditation (required).
  • Graduate of BS Customs Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of [2] years of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or international trade.
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine Tariff and Customs Code, BOC E2M system, and related compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with logistics/trade systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Filipino.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php35,000.00 per month
