About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist. This role will be responsible for preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable, handling accounts receivable, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance team in Australia to deliver accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for Chefgood.
  • Assist with consolidation of results into the broader My Muscle Chef group reporting.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on key movements in revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
  • Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required.

Accounts Payable

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with approval workflows and company policies.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain vendor master data and support onboarding of new suppliers.

Accounts Receivable

  • Raise and issue customer invoices in line with contractual terms.
  • Monitor customer payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Reconcile AR balances and ensure accurate allocation of receipts.
  • Assist with month-end AR reporting and cash flow forecasting.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Support compliance with local statutory reporting obligations (working closely with Australian Finance team).
  • Identify and recommend process improvements in reporting, AP, and AR functions.
  • Ensure strong internal controls are followed across all financial transactions.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in financial reporting and transactional finance (AP and/or AR).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or Australian equivalents preferred).
  • ERP/accounting system experience — ideally Xero and Microsoft D365.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, reconciliations, reporting).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with offshore and onshore teams.
