Accounting Supervisor

Department: Finance / Accounting

Reports to: Finance Manager / President

Location: Pasig City, Philippines

Job Summary

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations with a primary focus on accounts receivable while also overseeing tax compliance and regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising accounting processes, ensuring timely collections, monitoring financial records, and coordinating with relevant teams to support healthy cash flow and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable & Collections

  • Supervise billing, collections, and AR reconciliation processes.
  • Monitor customer accounts, credit limits, and payment terms to ensure proper cash flow.
  • Review AR aging reports, follow up on overdue accounts, and implement effective collection strategies.
  • Coordinate with the sales and credit teams on customer concerns and payment arrangements.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns (e.g., VAT, EWT, income tax, and other government-mandated reports).
  • Oversee compliance with BIR, SEC, LGU, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of relevant tax regulations and ensure company adherence.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and government agencies as needed.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare AR-related and overall accounting reports for management review.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Analyze receivables performance, collection efficiency, and customer payment trends.
  • Recommend process improvements to optimize billing, collections, and compliance workflows.

Team Supervision & Coordination

  • Lead, mentor, and guide accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, and management teams to align objectives and resolve issues.
  • Support management in cash flow planning, credit policy enforcement, and financial decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to AR and tax compliance.
  • 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of BIR processes, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting systems (QuickBooks experience is a plus).
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Collection Efficiency – % of receivables collected within agreed terms.
  • Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) – Speed of collections and receivables turnover.
  • Tax Compliance Accuracy – On-time and error-free filing of tax returns and government reports.
  • Reduction of Past-Due Accounts – Minimizing overdue balances.
  • Financial Reporting Timeliness – Accuracy and punctuality of submitted reports.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
