Wavemaker Impact is Southeast Asia's leading climate-tech venture builder, creating "100x100" companies — each with the potential to cut 100 million tonnes of CO₂e and generate USD 100M in annual revenue. Based in Singapore and active across 9 countries, we've raised USD 60M in our first fund and launched 20 ventures to date. Our goal: reduce 10% of the global carbon budget by 2035.

Recent ventures include Zentide (sustainable agriculture), HiFeed (low-carbon cattle feed), Nūl (AI tackling overproduction in fashion), 10Ants (urban revitalization), and Arysun (solar energy adoption).

We're now building the largest distributor of solar appliances in Southeast Asia — starting in the Philippines — and we're looking for a mission-driven operator to lead the launch. As the first hire, you'll work closely with our venture-building team to design the go-to-market strategy, validate customer demand, secure partnerships, and build the local team.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute a launch plan to validate product-market fit for the first solar appliance suite
  • Source, test, and optimise products for the local market
  • Secure distribution partnerships to drive adoption
  • Hire and lead local sales, support, and operations teams
  • Manage the P&L and adapt strategy based on market feedback

Who you are

  • 5+ years in management, sales, or business development in startups or tech (ideally in SEA, with PH market experience)
  • Proven track record launching products or markets from scratch
  • Skilled at hiring and leading teams
  • Commercially minded, with P&L management experience
  • Comfortable working autonomously in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Passionate about technology, retail, and climate impact
  • Able to spend significant time on the ground in the Philippines
