Job Description

We are seeking a
Project Director
to lead the development and execution of solar and energy storage projects in the Philippines. This senior role will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, from due diligence, design, construction and commissioning, ensuring successful delivery of both utility-scale and distributed rooftop solar assets. The Project Director will play a pivotal role in driving technical, regulatory, and commercial success, while leading a multidisciplinary project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end development of solar, rooftop solar, and BESS projects in the Philippines and other Southeast Asia countries.
  • Oversee project execution including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities
  • Drive project budgets, timelines, and risk management to ensure successful delivery
  • Engage and negotiate with local stakeholders, government agencies, utilities, and regulators
  • Collaborate with investment, technical, and operations teams to align project delivery with corporate strategy
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing project management team

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in renewable energy or power project development, with proven leadership in solar and/or BESS projects
  • Strong understanding of permitting, land, interconnection, and regulatory frameworks in the Philippines
  • Demonstrated track record in delivering renewable energy projects from development to COD
  • Experience managing EPC contracts, project budgets, and construction oversight
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage government, utility, and community partners
  • Familiarity with rooftop solar development and distributed generation business models a strong advantage
  • Based in Manila, with willingness to travel across project sites within Southeast Asia.
