About the role

Holiday Plaza Hotel is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource professional to join our team in Cebu City, Cebu. As our Human Resource specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience, driving organizational excellence, and supporting the overall strategic objectives of our growing hotel business.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations
  • Developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and foster a positive, inclusive work environment
  • Collaborating with department heads to understand their staffing needs and provide tailored HR solutions
  • Administering employee benefits, compensation, and payroll in line with company policies and legal requirements
  • Identifying and implementing employee engagement and wellness initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and retention
  • Providing HR-related guidance and support to managers and employees, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring data privacy and confidentiality
  • Participating in strategic HR planning and contributing to the overall growth and development of the organization

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within the hospitality or service industry
  • Excellent knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and employment regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
  • Proficient in HR-related software and data management tools
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
