Job description:

A. Qualifications

  1. Graduate of any 4 - year course

  2. Has experience in working in the Medical field

  3. Has handled PhilHealth processing in previous work.

B. General Description of the Job

A Junior Philhealth Associate in the Frontline Operations directly communicates with patients or patient's relatives building positive client/customer relations and works efficiently in the name of the patient/member as far as Philhealth coverage is concerned. He/she coordinates with concerned departments to ensure correctness of the information in the Philhealth form and the completion of required documents, if necessary.

C. Job Description and Activities

  1. Attends to patients inquiries and needs with outmost courtesy

  2. Verifies accuracy and completeness of documents received from patients/patients' relatives for Philhealth benefits claims

  3. Provides PBEF status during patient's admission generated from the system

  4. Provides accurate deduction to all qualified members and beneficiaries based on the ICD 10 or RVS code.

  5. Receives and verifies daily Statement of Account (SOA) from the Billing Department

  6. Prepares request for needed clinical chart for patients claims to Medical Records

  7. Prints PBEF and CSF contents generated from the system

  8. Makes daily Philhealth Discharge Report

  9. Makes daily Mandatory Hospital Report

  10. Makes follow-up thru phone calls to patient/patient's relative who lacks insufficient requirements

  11. Makes follow-up rounds to doctor's clinics for the needed signature and diagnosis in Form 2 if found to be incomplete

  12. Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
