Retail Store Manager

Reports to: Owner
About the Role
As a Retail Store Manager at Kit – Keeping It Together, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail stores and pop-up locations. You'll ensure smooth store performance, consistent brand presentation, and excellent customer experience. This role blends hands-on leadership with strategic thinking — ideal for someone who enjoys both managing people and growing a young, fast-paced retail brand.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth customer flow and efficient service.
- Maintain store cleanliness, display standards, and overall brand presentation.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, POS transactions, and daily sales reporting.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment, and minimize stock loss.
Sales & Customer Experience
- Drive sales performance by mnd assist in visual merchandising daily and monthly targets.
- Deliver a warm, knowledgeable, and customer-centered shopping experience.
- Train staff to understand and communicate Kit's product features and value.

Team Management
- Supervise and motivate store team members, providing coaching and feedback.
- Schedule staff shifts to ensure proper coverage and operational efficiency.
- Lead by example in professionalism, punctuality, and customer service.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new retail staff.
Inventory & Reporting
- Track and manage inventory, ensuring timely stock movement between stores and warehouse.
- Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
- Prepare weekly sales summaries, foot traffic reports, and store performance updates.
Brand & Merchandising
- Maintain visual consistency with the Kit brand identity and merchandising guidelines.
Compliance & Standards
- Maintain a positive and professional store culture aligned with Kit's brand values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred but not required)
- At least 2–3 years of retail management or supervisory experience (experience in lifestyle, travel, or fashion retail is a plus)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Proficient in POS systems and basic computer applications
- Highly organized, dependable, and results-driven
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, or shifting schedules as needed
