Job description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day construction site operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules, and ensure that all phases of construction are progressing according to the set timelines.
  • Supervise and coordinate with project engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and workers to maintain smooth site operations.
  • Monitor and manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that safety protocols and quality standards are strictly followed on-site.
  • Resolve issues or delays on construction sites by coordinating with stakeholders and implementing effective solutions.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and documentation to top management and clients.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and project specifications.
  • Implement and improve operational systems, processes, and best practices across all construction projects.
  • Manage manpower schedules, evaluate performance, and ensure the team is working efficiently and professionally.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Civil Engineer with a valid PRC license.
  • Minimum of 8 years of solid experience in construction project management or site operations, preferably in mid to large-scale projects.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations, and local building codes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
  • Proficient in using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and office software (e.g., MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must be results-driven, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
