Warehouse Operations Supervisor

General Description

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics functions to support the company's supply chain and business goals. This role ensures accurate stock management, timely movement of goods, and cost-effective logistics operations. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in ERP systems (preferably Acumatica) and experienced in optimizing warehouse workflows, inventory accuracy, and logistics efficiency.

The Supervisor will lead warehouse and logistics teams, enforce operational policies, and coordinate with purchasing, sales, and other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

• At least 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with 1–2 years in a supervisory/team leader role.

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems; hands-on experience with Acumatica ERP is an advantage.

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and manage a team.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with teams and partners.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel).

• Knowledge of warehouse safety, stock handling, and logistics best practices.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures.

• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

• Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair; and requisitions for replacement.

• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.

• Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

• Supervise and guide warehouse staff, maintaining discipline, coaching, counseling, and appraising performance results.

• Ensure proper organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time to support overall warehouse and logistics operations.

Inventory Management

• Oversee stock control and ensure accurate, real-time inventory updates in the ERP system.

• Conduct regular physical counts and cycle audits to maintain accurate inventory records and prevent discrepancies.

• Oversee accurate inventory counts and reconciliation to minimize discrepancies and losses.

• Track and reconcile inventory levels, movements, and variances, addressing losses or damages promptly.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the management system.

• Monitor and forecast demand to maintain optimal stock levels and coordinate with purchasing and operations for timely replenishment.

• Coordinate with purchasing and operations to ensure adequate stock replenishment while preventing overstocking.

• Recommend improvements to inventory control policies, systems, and workflows for greater efficiency.

Logistics

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee outbound deliveries to ensure timely and accurate customer fulfillment.

• Manage the movement of goods from the warehouse to customers by overseeing transport, routing, and scheduling for cost-efficient operations.

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to maintain smooth and timely operations.

• Monitor logistics performance and address any delays or service issues promptly.

• Select and manage transportation partners to ensure reliable and cost-effective delivery.

• Ensure compliance with shipping documentation, procurement procedures, and regulatory requirements.
