The API & Systems Integration Assistant is a core technical partner responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling internal tools that connect and automate our systems. This role is perfect for someone who loves Humans + APIs + automation and wants to turn repetitive processes into smooth, reliable workflows.

You'll work closely with Data, Operations, Scheduling, Finance, and HR teams to create tools powered by the Humanity API, Slack API, API, and other systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical creativity, and a mindset for building scalable, reliable automation.

You won't just follow instructions — you'll design solutions, build workflows, and make systems smarter.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-API Development & Integration: Build and maintain internal tools using Humanity API, Slack API, API, and other systems.

-Workflow Automation: Design and implement automation solutions to eliminate manual processes across Scheduling, Payroll, HR, Operations, and QA.

-Tool Development: Build scripts, dashboards, and internal tools that improve organizational efficiency.

-System Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and propose scalable technical solutions.

-Monitoring & Reliability: Maintain system stability, error handling, logging, and performance optimization.

-Security & Access Control: Implement best practices for API security, access management, and data protection.

-Documentation: Create technical documentation for APIs, tools, and automation workflows.

-Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

-Continuous Improvement: Research new APIs, tools, and platforms that can improve automation capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Tech Platform Expertise: Familiarity with working with scheduling, timesheets, and payroll tools

-API Development: Experience working with REST APIs (authentication, endpoints, pagination, webhooks).

-Google Apps Script / JavaScript: Strong scripting skills for building automation tools and integrations

-Slack & APIs: Experience building bots, automations, and integrations.

-Data Handling: Experience processing JSON, CSV, and large datasets.

-Automation Architecture: Ability to design scalable, maintainable automation systems.

-Error Handling & Logging: Experience building reliable systems with monitoring and alerting.

-Security & Permissions: Understanding of API security, OAuth, tokens, and access control.

-Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

-Documentation: Ability to write clean technical documentation and implementation guides.

-Version Control (Bonus): Familiarity with Git and structured development workflows.
