API Developer Specialist

The position is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining robust and scalable APIs (Application Programming Interface) that integrate with the ScheerPas platform. The position is also responsible for communicating with product heads, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that APIs meet the business's and customers' evolving needs.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Integrates APIs with the ScheerPas platform to enable seamless data exchange and functionality
  • Creates integration components, such as connectors and adapters
  • Confirms API compatibility with the ScheerPas platform architecture and standards
  • Checks API performance and identify bottlenecks
  • Implements optimization techniques to improve API response times and scalability
  • Optimizes API caching and data retrieval strategies
  • Documents comprehensive test cases and performs thorough testing of APIs
  • Communicates with Quality Assurance team to ensure API quality and reliability
  • Identifies and resolves API defects and issues
  • Prepares and updates API documentation, including usage guides, tutorials, and reference materials
  • Provides technical support to developers using the APIs
  • Responds to API-related inquiries and assists in troubleshooting the issues

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of Computer-related, Engineering or Math-related courses
  • At least two (2) years of work-related experience in systems/application programming and API Design
  • Knowledgeable to:
  • Programming Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or Ruby
  • SheerPas Platform
  • Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Integration Technologies: web services, messaging, and connectors.
  • Version Control: Git or other version control systems.
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Testing Frameworks: JUnit, TestNG, or pytest
  • Security: API security concepts, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
  • Amenable to work in Makati City
