AI Search Optimization Strategist (ChatGPT / Perplexity SEO) – Legal Marketing

About the Role

We're looking for a forward-thinking AI Search Optimization Strategist who understands where search is heading — beyond Google — into AI chat results, conversational rankings, and answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude.

You'll research, test, and build strategies to position our legal brands so they appear inside AI-generated answers and become the trusted source these models reference.

This role blends SEO, AI, and content architecture to help us stay ahead of the future of discovery.

Responsibilities

  • Research how ChatGPT, Perplexity, and similar systems surface and cite information.
  • Create strategies to make our content recognizable, structured, and reference-worthy for AI systems.
  • Design data schemas, FAQs, and knowledge structures optimized for LLM retrieval.
  • Work with the SEO & Automation Director to integrate "AI-ranking" logic into content pipelines.
  • Experiment with prompts, metadata, and model-index signals that influence AI answers.
  • Track visibility and citations from AI search engines and conversational platforms.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of SEO, schema, and content structure.
  • Familiarity with ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and related AI search ecosystems.
  • Curiosity and technical skill to reverse-engineer how AI selects sources.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • 3+ years in SEO, digital strategy, or AI content optimization.

Preferred

  • Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval-based SEO.
  • Understanding of AI content generation and knowledge graphs.
  • Legal, medical, or information-dense niche experience a plus.

About the Company

We're building a next-generation legal marketing system that merges automation, SEO, and AI-driven discovery.

You'll work directly with the Brand Director and SEO & Automation Director to lead experiments on how brands can rank inside conversational AI — the new frontier of search visibility.
