Job Description

As a CAD Technician (Office Fit-outs), you will produce precise 2D drawings, 3D models, and detailed construction documentation for office spaces. You'll collaborate with architects and designers, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency across all deliverables.

The Qualifications We Seek

Education:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Drafting Technology, Interior Design, or related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in drafting and 3D modelling, ideally in office fit-out, construction, or interior design settings

Knowledge and Skills:

• AutoCAD 2D drafting (required)
• Google SketchUp and rendering engines like V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape, or Twinmotion
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools for post-processing renders is a plus
• Familiarity with office fit-out layouts, furniture plans, and MEP coordination is preferred
• Attention to detail
• Mathematics and geometry
• Spatial awareness
• Troubleshooting design issues

Your Daily Tasks

As-Built Documentation

• Conduct actual site measurements for existing and new office spaces
• Draft precise as-built drawings reflecting architectural and furniture layouts
• Regularly update as-built documents to reflect post-construction modifications

2D Drawing Revisions and Support

• Revise plans based on redlines, designer inputs, and site conditions
• Produce construction and bid drawings in compliance with design standards
• Ensure version control and documentation of drawing iterations

Collaborative Drafting with Design Teams

• Work hand-in-hand with architects and interior designers to draft:

• Conceptual drawings

• Technical construction drawings

• Bid and tender documentation

• Translate design sketches and ideas into scaled working drawings for client and construction use

Detail and Blow-Up Drawing Production

• Generate spot details, elevations, and blow-up drawings for:

• Custom millwork/cabinetries/joineries

• Partitions

• Flooring and wall transitions

• Ceiling details and junctions

• Ensure clear annotation and dimensioning for construction and fabrication teams

3D Modeling and Visualization

• Develop 3D models of office layouts and interior design concepts using Google SketchUp
• Apply realistic textures, lighting, and furniture layouts to simulate final design intent
• Produce high-quality renders using V-Ray, Lumion, Twinmotion, or other rendering engines
• Prepare 3D walkthroughs or animated presentations for client and management approvals
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure visual consistency across all project presentations

Other Responsibilities

• Perform any administrative or non-administrative duties as assigned by the Company's representatives from time to time through direct written order or verbal assignment
